If you are a discriminating home owner, you either purchased or plan to install marble or granite tile, granite kitchen and bathroom counters or other stone accents throughout your abode. As beautifully installed as they are, proper care is required to maintain that beauty and functionality. A marble polish that brings out the natural shine of marble and granite stone surfaces, without depositing waxes, oils or acids can be invaluable. Polish or clean with the wrong product, can result in thousands of dollars in unnecessary restorations.
The biggest problem, is how slowly an improper care product selection does its damage. Waxes build up over time. Acids slowly etch and dull the surface with each application. Vinegar, and "natural" fruit extracts may be costing you LOTS of money.
Other "marble polishes" do little more than "cover up" the natural beauty of your marble stone while maybe cleaning away a little dirt and grim. You trade a short-term cleaning for a long-term more expensive restoration later.
DID YOU KNOW? 25% of the restoration work done annually, is the result of an improper cleaning or polishing. Someone tried to do the right thing, but failing to understand their surface did more damage than good.
Our polish is formulated employing the same chemistry employed by our professional craftsman. A chemistry designed not to mask the problem but to solve it. A polish is designed to enhance shine and gloss, by leveling the stone surface. Most "polishes" seek to boost the shine by FILLING etches and wear crevices with wax or oil. A true polish removes and re-levels the surface. Once re-level the surface can reflect light like a mirror. Those pesky drink rings, champagne etches and white spots left over from that New Year's festivities are going to need a little polish.
Once polished, you must remove the polishing medium with an appropriate cleaner. What does an appropriate cleaner mean? One that is safe for the surface you are treating. Ceramic and porcelain are generally non-porous (there are some porous surface polished porcelains) and not acid sensitive, allowing traditional acid based floor cleaners to be employed (yes, vinegar can actually be used here), however employ the same product on marble, limestone, travertine, terrazzo, or salturnia and you will etch the surface and dull the shine. These porous surfaces need cleaners that are non-acidic and have a low surface energy so that pores can be flushed of dirt, oil and debris. Marblelife's marble, travertine and granite cleaners are formulated using our proprietary non-acidic surfactant technology to lift, capture and emulsify dirt, oil and debris, to safely clean your stone's surface.
Showers present special problems requiring special attention, as soap scum and mold can be difficult to remove without the use of acids… if you don't have the right product. MARBLELIFE Soap-and-Scum remover is engineered to remove the soap without damaging or scratching your soft stone surface such as marble, travertine, salturnia and limestone. Mold and Mildew remover can be employed as the name describes.
Once clean, when was the last time you sealed your stone. What can take less than 15 minutes to protect, can cost you hundreds if not thousands to fix should they be stained.
